Venom #10 picks up where the last issue left off and delivers revelation after brutal revelation. He’s down but not out, as he comes to a realization about the revelation that has everything all come back to Venom, but in a way that makes sense for this story. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the character. Readers can definitely expect a more emotional story with Eddie Brock here, one that sort of leaves him in a grim place. However, I believe that’s by design from Al Ewing and Ram V, especially with time travel at the center of this series. Readers may get the sense that it’s like everything is feeding into a loop going off of the previous issue and this issue for sure. The art and writing all come together here as it’s not just the revelations that matter but how they radically affect Eddie Brock. Like the previous issue, Al Ewing is at the helm and he covers his half of the Venom run’s story concerning the out there concept of time travel via symbiotes.īryan Hitch really delivers here as his art style thankfully matches the mind-bending and emotional story going on in the comic. However, this is where Al Ewing shows his hand as he delves into the abstract side of things and tries to ground it in the emotional history of Eddie Brock. Like I said before, readers can expect some major revelations about Bedlam, Meridius, and how they’re all connected to Eddie Brock. However, the bigger struggle is whether or not the explanation adds up with readers or even makes a lick of sense. Revelations abound in this comic in regards to not only Eddie Brock and Bedlam but Meridius and the other “ Kings in Black” that were brought up several issues ago.
